More is Blooming…

With Valentine’s being the latest holiday it has made getting subjects to shoot very easy. I think I have exhausted the Floral department at Kroger my next venture will be a local florist with a wider variety. I posted some of the latest gems that I was able to get my hands on! Shown above is Oriental Lilies and Roses. Enjoy!

Bloomers

The time has come to announce some new work in progress!

Have you stopped to smell the roses? Probably not, it is winter and all. Well now that Valentine’s Day is approaching the supply of flowers is booming, which makes finding new arrangements easy. I have been learning to get closer and find new perspectives on my subjects; I am also exploring more colors and shapes! I have found a new love and appreciation to flowers. Beyond the aromatic scent the flowers give us they have such amazing details that when just admiring from afar you would oversee. I hope with the progress of this project I will share and give you my viewers a new appreciation to the incredible natural beauties.

THE INTERNATIONAL STREET ART OF SLINKACHU

London-based artist Slinkachu (facebook / blog- For an artist whose work frequently represents the themes of anonymity, alienation and loneliness inspired by city-living. In 2006, Slinkachu embarked on the first of his street art installation campaigns: The Little People Project. His miniature figures are left to fend for themselves in the bustling city, where they are then photographed and left to the abandon of their urban environment. These figures embody the estrangement spurred by the over-whelming nature of the modern metropolis, and incite a renewed perspective of the everyday urban experience to those who find them.

Amazing.

Good friends are like stars, you don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.

You know the end of cookie dough where you could possibly make 2 small cookies…when really you make one giant cookie foor yourself?!! Ill be nice and share just because its almost Christmas.

new projects…

Those who know me know that I have been going back to school for Photography. Apart of the degree we have to work on a portfolio for when we graduate and hit the real world! I have currently found an area of where I would like to take my work. I have taken a new love for the Fine Arts in Photography. I, however, like to capture interesting and unusual vantage points with every day things. For my portfolio class my instructor has helped me direct my focus and hopefully when I graduate I can have my work either displayed or published somewhere. Someone has got to like my photographs, my dream is to have my work displayed in peoples homes, offices, and even possibly have my work in hotels…my work could definitely spice up a room!

Also, for my final I have to create 2 new galleries to show on my website. As I begin to create and gather new images I will try to keep everyone posted on the progress.
